We as humans have walked on the moon, but have yet to explore the entirety of our own planet. Though making up over 70% of the planet’s surface, our oceans remain one of the biggest mysteries we have left here on Earth.

What’s really down there? What new creatures or wildlife have we yet to discover? "A Trip to the Sea" display the wide range of sights and emotions one can experience while exploring the depths of our oceans.

One of the goals of this project was to capture the mystery of the sea in an upbeat, whimsical way. I explored a much more illustrative style to create an approach-ability, even in the more "scary" moments. I wanted to give the viewers a complete scuba-diving experience, so the entire swim happens in continuous motion, reinforcing the first-person point-of-view. Lots of textures and assets kept this short fun and complicated to combine and create.
